World Rat Day is celebrated annually on April 4th, so I thought I’d share with you a workshop recording on one species of rat that lives in North America, the Kangaroo Rat.
In this 60-minute workshop, you’ll learn some interesting facts about rodents, the rat family, and kangaroo rats in particular, followed by a step-by-step sketching demonstration.
Together, we will draw the species known as the Desert Kangaroo Rat, Dipodomys deserti, a species native to the lowest, hottest regions of the southwestern United States. This video is a recording from a live, online sketching workshop I taught in 2020.
