Community Projects

Giving back to my community, both locally and globally is an important priority for me. Below you’ll find a few of the organizations I’ve given my time and funds to.

Recent/Scheduled Projects

March 2019: Teaching bird sketching workshops for adults and kids at the Vallarta Bird and Nature Festival in Mexico.

Workshop in Mexico

February 2018: I taught a bird sketching workshop for a youth group in Honduras; Los Artesanos y Guias de El Pino, and donated $300 worth of art supplies to them for future projects and $500 of supplies for their education center.

Kids Workshop in Honduras

I’ve created most of the content of this website, including the nature education and art tutorials, as a free service for my global community of nature lovers, educators, and students. And the few products I do offer for sale help support my donations to the habitat restoration organizations I come to know in my travels. I also donate my time teaching free workshops and creating educational materials for nature conservation organizations, with a focus on those in developing countries.

If you believe in my work and my mission, I invite you to make a small donation to help broaden and deepen the work I can accomplish. Thank you!
Click the Paypal ‘Donate’ button below to donate any amount you wish to support the conservation and education work I do. You don’t need to have a Paypal account to donate, you may also choose to use a credit card, or simply send put a check in the mailbox if you wish. Thank you!
