SUPPORTING WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
A primary mission of Wildlife Drawing Academy is to support wildlife conservation and so I will choose a different organization each month to donate a portion of member dues. This month we’re supporting a sea turtle center in Panama where I volunteered in 2024, the Fundacion Aqua Y Tierra (The Water and Land Foundation).

The Wildlife Drawing Academy includes a series of foundational lessons to teach you the basics of realistic drawing so that you’ll have the skills and confidence to proceed successfully with the wildlife illustration workshops.

About your Leader
Hello there, I’m Christine.
I love empowering animal lovers to depict what they see in nature and to learn something new about animals along the way. I’ve been an animal lover and artist ever since I could walk and I’ve spent decades teaching people how to draw. I’ve also worked as a professional biological illustrator for over 20 years, such as creating these salmon life cycle images for a river restoration project.
My work has taken me around the country and the world, from working as a field biologist to leading international wildlife sketching holidays, to teaching drawing workshops at festivals and conferences from Alaska to Panama. My illustration clients have ranged from conservation organizations to national book publishers, most recently having illustrated a 7-book series on Habitats of the World for Princeton University Press. But I am most excited about helping YOU to see and understand wildlife at a deeper level through sketching and drawing them.
