Javelinas, Warthogs, and Boars, oh my!

March 1st is deemed National Pig Day. Yes, there’s a day for that! If you’d like to learn about pigs and how to draw them, then sign up for my free online workshop. You can join the live event (Sunday, February 27th at 10:00 AM PDT) or watch the replay anytime in the future.

In this 90-minute class, you’ll learn about the two families of wild pig-like mammals. Those in Eurasia and Africa include 18 species, such as warthogs and the wild ancestors of our domestic pig. In the New World, there are just three species in a family that includes the Collared Peccary of the American Southwestern deserts.

Lastly, you will learn all about a famous pig of Africa, the Warthog, and I’ll lead you in a step-by-step demonstration of creating a realistic pencil drawing of this species.
