Learn About Pandas and Bamboo Trees
March 16th is National Panda Day, so in honor of these charismatic members of the bear family, you can learn about them and their favorite food; bamboo leaves, in a recording of my online video workshop below.

In the first half of the video below, you’ll learn some facts about bamboo plant species and their characteristics as the largest members of the grass family. Next, we’ll sketch a bamboo stem and leaf. In the second half of the video (starting at the 40-minute mark) you’ll learn about pandas and the bear family to which they belong and lastly, we’ll draw the head of a Giant Panda. Enjoy!
